Freelance work and personal projects

This section is dedicated to all of my design work that has occurred outside of my more normal design work, such as creating event advertising for local bands and artists, designing artwork and visuals for my own band, creating a logo for a personal friend, and student work. Scenarios such as these generally give me more creative freedom to try new ideas. As a result, the work here is quite eclectic and varied.

Event Advertising

I love local live music, whether I’m participating in it with one of the many bands I’ve been in, or simply watching from the crowd. I always jump at the opportunity to create advertising for these events, because it’s almost always an open opportunity to have fun designing something without restriction. Music

From Fall of 2017 until Spring of 2020, I served as the principal singer/songwriter for a West Oakland band named Bobo Ski Watten. As the de facto graphic designer of the band, I took it as an opportunity to try my hand at creating a brand and applying it to multiple printed and digital mediums. Additionally, this was an opportunity to take my artistic sentiments and form them into practical, intelligently designed pieces.
